Visiting the town of Salado, Texas

The town of Salado, is a fun stop.  Lots of shops, antiques, artist, and artisans abound.  We had fun, just wandering the streets.  I hope to go back and visit this town some more.

 The Barton House
Time for lunch
The Range Restaurtant

Seating even available in the basement.

 Pretty cool.
Lunch was yummy, and this old house was way cool.

There are fun sculptures throughout the town.

 Billy Goats Gruff
This is one of my favorite stories of all time.
And to have this cool sculpture at the beginning of the Dodd bridge.

 The Dodd Creek Bridge

The bed of the creek is limestone.

 Cute Elephant Fountain

 A four seater bike.

These cute little ornaments are made out of egg's.

Christmas was everywhere, in all the shops.

This was an interesting tree, a peacock tree.
Delightful

We saw some beautiful furniture, and the prices were not that bad.

Stagecoach Inn, this was under construction.
So one day we will get to visit again.

 Central Texas Area Museum
This one was also closed, renovation as well.

 Ruins of the Salado College.

 Elijah Sterling Clack Robertson
