Elder and Sister Foy

What a wonderful Sabbath Day!  We attended church at the Mexia Branch and it was filled with the spirit.  We had some visitors that always make the day amazing.  They attended a funeral in Commerce.  While they were at the cemetery they looked down at the headstone of one of the Great Grandparents.  And next to the Headstone was a tiny headstone with baby written on the stone.  They did not know that there was a child missing.  So they where very excited to make this discovery.  One of the visitors husband works for Boeing and they are stationed overseas in Dubai.  They have lived all over the country for his work.  They have purchased some land for retirement in the town of Navasota, Texas.   So it was fun to share with them that we work on a Ranch called Navasota.

Elder and Sister Foy

Elder and Sister Foy, they have Utah roots, but they have lived in Ponca City,Oklahoma, and Houston Texas.  They retired in Panguitch, Utah to Elder Foy's childhood home.   The Foy's are an amazing couple they have so many talents, they have made us feel so welcome.  And they work so hard each day!  We our enjoy each day and look forward to many happy work days and play days together.

Latter that night we attended a Fireside where the Fort Worth Mission; Mission President spike in the fireside.  President Rodney Ames.  President Ames was a Counselor in the Kansas Stake while we served in our Adam-ondi-Ahman Mission.  We was called to serve as the Mission President in the Fort Worth Mission.  Now we are serving in Texas.  Kind of a fun coincidence.   The Missionary Fireside was amazing.  It was held in the new Waco Stake Center.  A beautiful Church building.
President Ames spoke about the importance of recognizing the spirit, no matter how small it might seem the spirit is speaking to us.  He share the Plan of Salvation.  And the reason we have been sent to earth to learn how to return to our Father in Heaven.  It was a wonderful night.  I am glad that Elder Gibson and I traveled into Waco to attend the meeting.  It was fun to see all the people and the Missionaries serving in this beautiful area.
