102 House Floor Lift

Great day to lift the 102 House, not a face lift which will come in time.  But A floor lift.
We started on the back of the house, and tried to lift the back wall.  But when we jacked up the wall.  The whole home lifted.  They had huge 2'x2' pylons in the center of the home, and they were attached to large bridge beams.  So the home could not be lifted wall by wall.  Instead Elder Gibson had to cut the middle of the floor inside the house, and try to bring the walls level on the inside by adding support beams.  It worked, but its a lot of hard work.   And it was yucky also.

So the floor board was cut and lifted, revealing smashed insulation and lots of yuck,
I put on a mask and cleaned out all the yuck,  then I took this photo.
 A blurry Elder Gibson
The sheet rock is in place now waiting on taping,
Elder Gibson had to cut the chicken wire, and lay down on the icky wet dirt, and literally lay down on the ground to get under the floor.  Then place beam's and jack up the floor to the new level.
We found the existing floor joist not even nailed to the Bridge Beams.
No wonder the walls cracking.
 Fenton House:
We got a call to run over to the Fenton House where the men were
working on lifting the Fenton House.  And they had found this snake shed,
the live snake they also found a 5' Rat Snake.  The men working on the
house are from Honduras, and they are used to snakes so they just grab,
the snake and threw it outside in the field.  But the shed they left for me.
Yeah, I'm sending it to my grandson's!!!

Fenton House floor has a problem that needs to be repaired.  This back beam is
rotting.  and the floor needs some more bracing.  So its hold for know, and we will wait for
approval to continue, and then they can come back and fix what needs fixing.
The new beam that was installed.
